Anna Stetzel
Anna, 12, of St. Louis was diagnosed in utero with a severe form of the condition called tetralogy of Fallot with absent pulmonary valve. Anna has had three open heart surgeries so far and will have surgeries in her future. Despite this she loves to help her grandparents with barn chores whenever she can.
“She lives life to the fullest and does not plan to miss a step along the way,” said her former teacher Kristine Parmeley.
She enjoys arts and crafts, drawing, writing for her school news-paper and being involved with Cardinal Glennon and Make-A-Wish. Anna creates angel art and scarves and sells her “Anna B. Moo” designs at craft fairs then donates all proceeds to Make-A-Wish Foundation or Cardinal Glennon. Anna was a wish child in 2014 and has helped grant the wish of another child.
Anna has been known to donate many of her own “get well soon” gifts to young hospital patients. Anna is an academically successful student who loves to read and is active in Interact Club and Kiwanis Kids. Anna is the daughter of Kimberly and Jon Stetzel.
