Cecelia Hochstatter
Cece was born a happy and affectionate baby. But eventually, she began to miss important developmental milestones. Later she was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. After first attending a special therapy program, she went on to kindergarten in Wright City, Mo. While attending school, she earned her Girl Scout badges from Daisy to Cadette and was in the church choir.
During seventh grade, Cece moved in with her grandmother in Imperial and lovingly helped take care of her. Even when Cece had a cast up to her hip from two broken bones, she still helped with her grandma’s care. This fourteen-year-old went through many unique joys and lessons, as she learned to live on a schedule and adjusted to a new environment.
Cece is now a freshman at Seckman High School and is learning to challenge herself as she matures. She attends classes at Judevine Center for Autism. In her spare time, she enjoys learning about animals, rides horses at Helping Hands and Horses and is a new member of an after-school anime club. Throughout it all, she has always accepted everyone as they are and plans to become a cowgirl when she grows up.
