Delilah Hall
When you make your orthopedic surgeon cry happy tears you must be doing something right. Delilah, 8, has neurofibromatosis, a condition that causes tumors to form in the body’s systems. She had to have surgery to save her leg. At a recent appointment she walked toward her doctor in the hallway with no walker and he was overwhelmed by the progress she has made in a year.
When she broke her leg, she had to go through three surgeries and wear a cast over the course of five years. This bubbly St. Peters girl also has a seizure condition but recently was been taken off her medication as she has been seizure-free for four months. Delilah is always asking questions and making sure that she knows exactly what to do and she is always making new friends.
Delilah does many Hero activities from Children’s Tumor Foundation, from being in Fashion Shows to being the face of the NF 5K Walk. Delilah is a CTF Super Hero!
Her parents Tonya and Aaron Hall say she has overcome so much. There was a time when she was seeing up to 15 different doctors and now she sees only a few and that list is getting even shorter.
