Eddie Weiss, an 18-year-old student from Hillsboro High School who is challenged with autism spectrum disorder, is the son of Genny Rector and Reggie Weiss. Eddie is a good friend to many of his classmates, and he is easily a favorite by many people. In addition to any challenges he may face with his autism, he also recently began having unexplained seizures.
Through all of these adversities, Eddie has still managed to excel in school. Eddie absolutely loves school. He is in his junior year of high school and maintains a 3.8 GPA. He is currently enrolled in Computer Graphics and Imaging class where he is excelling. He is an amazing student and has many friends. Everyone at Hillsboro High School knows who Eddie is and people are constantly yelling his name and asking him for fist bumps. He always has a smile on his face, a “hi” for everyone that he comes across, and tells everyone that it is a great day. He is really proud that he is finally 18 and considered an adult. He says “I’m an adult now and can stand up for myselfl” This year he got asked to the homecoming dance by a sweet girl and they danced the night away. Eddie has amazing parental support and looks up to his sister. Some of his favorite things are Linkin Park and spicy foods, and he loves hanging out with his friends.
