People are often amazed when they realize what Willow Schreiber, age 6, has gone through in her short life. Willow is the daughter of Kyle and Andrea Schreiber, and she was nominated by her dear family friend Nancy Amundson for this award. She was diagnosed with Megalencephaly Polymicrogyria Polydactyly Hydrocephalus Syndrome (MPPH), and she has undergone countless surgeries, illnesses, and hospital stays in her short life, but she always amazes her care team and family with how quickly she rebounds. She is one strong little girl.
Even though Willow is non-mobile, nonverbal, and fed through a tube in her stomach, she still attends the 1 st grade at Woerther Elementary School, and she loves it. In her free time, she likes to watch TV and is entertained by her brothers and classmates. She is aware of her surroundings and loves watching the people around her. You can tell by the look on her face, her smile, and the twinkle in her eye. Willow puts smiles on everyone’s faces when they meet her. Her parents believe she is the strongest, most amazing blessing.
